Visit to Lenbachhaus – Greek Lyceum in Munich - A2 Class
As part of a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) project, the A2 English class visited the Lenbachhaus Museum in Munich to explore the Blauer Reiter art collection. Prior to the visit, students prepared by researching key artists such as Marianne von Werefkin, Alexej von Jawlensky, August Macke, Gabriele Münter, Franz Marc, and Wassily Kandinsky. They learned about the movement’s use of color, abstraction, and emotional expression, building relevant vocabulary and discussion skills in English.
During the visit, students took an active role by self-guiding their classmates, sharing information about the artists and artworks in English. They also participated in self-expression activities, describing their favourite paintings and discussing their interpretations. This inspiring CLIL-based experience allowed students to integrate language learning with cultural and artistic exploration, making it a rich and immersive educational opportunity.
